Types of membership The IET offers two types of membership: individual membership, which is membership for one person, or group membership which is membership for businesses, associations or universities. You can read more about this on http://www.theiet.org/membership/types/index.cfm
Student
Student members are those who are undergoing a programme of study, as required by the Board of Trustees, and who intend to satisfy the requirements for the category of Member. If you would like to apply for student membership then select the description below that is most applicable to you and depending on the course or scheme that you are studying, you will be able to fast track through the application process.
If you are:
- On an apprenticeship scheme - apply for student membership
- Studying a full time undergraduate course - apply for student membership (Select this if you are doing your Bachelors in KFUPM full time)
- Studying a part-time undergraduate course - apply for student membership
- Studying a full time postgraduate course - apply for membership and pay the full membership fee or forgo the designatory letters and other entitlements of Member and apply for student membership to pay the student membership fee. (Select this if you are doing your Masters in KFUPM full time)
Standard membership fees from 1 January 2008 to 31 December 2008| Member and Associate | £102.00 | | Students and apprentices | £12.00 | | Full time students at university or college who have three, four or five years remaining on their course, can take advantage of our discounted fees. | £24.00 for three years or £30.00 for four/five years. | | Current members | Please view the transitional fees page. |
Payments are done online via credit card. NOTE: If you do not have a credit card, please fill up form on the IET website and click save application once you are done. Then send us your login details and we will make payment for you in return of cash. If you wish to join IET KFUPM too, we will create your account on this site which gives you access to member features. |
